My background

I have practiced law since 2005, in a variety of settings.  I have worked at a  national Bay Street  firm in Toronto, I have taught conflict resolution courses and project management courses across Canada and  throughout the Caribbean, the UK and Africa. I have also advised on  labour/employment matters as a Human Resources Specialist with Bruce  Power.

In Toronto I was a mediator  and negotiation consultant and taught conflict resolution and  negotiation skills at both the University of Toronto and University of  Windsor Law Schools.

Family Law

My practice focuses on negotiation of all types of Family Law matters, including divorces, separations, child custody and access issues as well as pre-marital agreements and adoption issues.

I am currently the Chair of the Family Law Bar Association of Grey and Bruce Counties and the Chair of the Collaborative Law Group of Grey/Bruce.  I particularly enjoy working on Collaborative Family Law matters as those tend to be a much smoother and amicable path to separation for all parties involved.

Employment Law Issues

Work is one of the most important aspects of one's life.

I have a varied background in Employment and Labour Law issues, including working at one of Canada's largest law firms in Toronto in the Labour/Employment Group.  I have an Executive Masters in Human Resource Management and understand employee relations from both the Management and Employee perspective.

My goal in work related legal matters is to understand the issues at hand and then provide advice to assist both individuals and companies make decisions in their best interest and with their own goals in mind.
